Storm Damage Alert

Trail closures

On July 18, the storms that rolled through Hocking County resulted in flash flooding at Hocking Hills State Park.  After accessing the damage, Ash Cave and a portion of the Cedar Falls Trail have been closed to ensure the safety of park visitors.  Bridges were washed from their abutments, the concrete walking trail at Ash Cave was completely undermined in several places, and debris is piled up along the trails.

Park staff in the region are working diligently to repair damaged areas and remove debris as soon as possible.  For more information, we will soon be posting updates on our park website. http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/parks/parks/hocking/tabid/743/Default.aspx
